What the programme is and how it sounds
The Jetset Society is a professional live band and event band from Vienna. Alongside the flexible event band programme, the band offers four self-contained shows; the Oktoberfest and Wiesn programme is one of them. It runs from Bohemian polka and brass-band music through Schlager and sing-along hits to Neue Deutsche Welle.
The repertoire includes “Ein Prosit”, “Fliegerlied”, “Rosamunde”, “Auf der Vogelwiese”, “Sierra Madre”, “Hulapalu”, “Joana”, “Atemlos durch die Nacht”, “Don’t Stop Believin’”, “99 Luftballons”, “Skandal im Sperrbezirk” and “Schickeria”. Some of our musicians play at the Munich Oktoberfest every year, in the Schützen-Festzelt. Every title is played 100 per cent live, with no backing tracks.
On request the band performs in Tracht, traditional Alpine dress; we agree that beforehand. The programme goes down well with discerning guests too.
Which occasions it suits
The programme suits weddings in Tracht with a touch of Munich’s Wiesn, as locals call the Oktoberfest, Tracht and Wiesn parties, and Oktoberfest-style corporate events. The type of event stays what it is: a wedding remains a wedding, a corporate event remains a corporate event. The Wiesn programme is either a programme item within it or, as a stand-alone performance, the programme for the whole occasion. The musicians speak English and will host in English on request.
The programme can be booked all year round, not only during the Wiesn season in September and October, and it suits club festivals and marquee events just as well.
How the programme fits into the occasion
There are three ways:
- As a stand-alone performance: the programme can be booked on its own, for up to around 6 hours, or shorter if you prefer.
- As a programme item within a full evening of live music: the Wiesn programme is combined with the event band programme and forms a programme item of its own.
- In a more compact version: on request, the programme is played in a shorter form.

Lineup and space
The programme is possible in any lineup from 4 to 11 musicians; for the Oktoberfest programme we recommend adding horns, because horns are central to the sound of polka and brass-band music. Every size plays every occasion; a larger lineup is a recommendation for a larger number of guests, a larger marquee or hall, never a requirement.
As a guide to the space needed: around 4 m² for two people and roughly 3 m² for each further person, so about 10 m² for 4 and about 31 m² for 11 musicians. The space calculator is on the lineups page.
The band brings its own sound and lighting system up to a certain room size; that is the band’s recommendation. The venue’s system is used only if you specifically ask for it. Setup and soundcheck together take one to two hours; any volume limits are clarified in advance and applied at the soundcheck. Lineup, running order, technical setup and staging are agreed individually for each event and each venue, marquees included.
