Client experiences & examples
Wedding in Vienna: reception, dinner and party
Situation: A couple planned a modern wedding with around 120 guests at a Vienna event venue. Outdoor reception, then dinner and party in the ballroom.
What they wanted: Subtle live music during the reception and dinner at a conversation-friendly volume. Then a first dance performed live and a full dance floor from around 9:30 pm.
How we did it: A medium-sized lineup with 6 musicians and our own sound and lighting equipment. The soundcheck was agreed in advance with the venue. Pared-back dinner sets came first. Then a custom-arranged first dance formed the bridge into the party.
Result: Three party sets until after midnight. The dance floor stayed full from first dance to last song. Elegant at the start, electric at the end.
Corporate event: formal start and later celebration
Situation: A corporate event with around 200 guests. It combined reception, networking, dinner, speeches and awards with a party phase later.
What they wanted: Elegant, refined live music that leaves room to talk during networking and dinner. It should respect the official programme, then build real energy.
How we did it: A larger lineup with 8 musicians including horns. Full sound and lighting equipment was brought along. Volume was deliberately controlled during reception and dinner. Transitions were coordinated with the host and the venue’s technical staff.
Result: The musical flow stayed stylish and the speeches had room to breathe. After the official part, the dance floor filled without a stylistic break.
Ball event: ballroom dances and modern dance floor
Situation: A festive ball with several hundred guests and a mixed audience. From the opening through classic rounds of ballroom dancing to the party, every phase had to work.
What they wanted: An opening with a Viennese waltz and reliable rounds of ballroom dancing (foxtrot, cha-cha-cha, rumba). Then a midnight show supported by the band, and modern party sets for all generations.
How we did it: A large lineup with 8 to 11 musicians. The music was planned around the phases of the ball. There were fixed time slots for the opening, ballroom rounds and performances. All of it was agreed in advance with the ball committee and the hosts.
Result: Formal ball tradition and a modern dance floor flowed seamlessly into each other. The ballroom rounds stayed in tempo. The party phase filled the hall until the end.
Gala evening: reception, dinner, programme and aftershow
Situation: A gala evening with reception, dinner, speeches, awards and a celebration afterwards. Live music was a core part of the pacing.
What they wanted: Reception, dinner, speeches, awards and the later celebration each needed a different musical energy.
How we did it: The Jetset Society came in as the complete package. The right lineup, technical coordination, soundcheck and communication with the venue or planning team.
Result: The music supported the formal character of the evening without overloading the schedule.
Hotel, dinner & lounge: refined impact without a big show
Situation: A reception, dinner, hotel bar, business lounge or jazz brunch. No large party lineup needed.
What they wanted: Elegant atmosphere, comfortable volume and music that supports conversation.
How we did it: A smaller lineup with the right jazz, lounge or dinner repertoire was the better fit.
Result: The music felt present and stylish without dominating the room.
What these examples show
Conclusion: Clients do not simply book individual musicians. They book a coordinated live music solution in which lineup, equipment, repertoire, timing, logistics and communication all work together.
