Dates, seasons and weekdays

Which dates go early, and which stay open.

Dates that go early

Saturdays from May to September get asked about well in advance. For those, six to twelve months of lead time is worth having – once the date, the region and the venue are settled, it is worth sending an enquiry.

Quieter months

January, February and March are often available at shorter notice. If you have any flexibility on the date, there is usually still room in those months – for balls as much as for corporate events and weddings.

Midweek dates

Corporate events, galas, trade fair parties and Christmas parties often fall midweek. Those dates generally stay open longer than Saturdays.

These are recommendations, not conditions. Short-notice enquiries are worth making too: if the date is free, a great deal can still be planned properly.
