While the fair is open, the band plays understated jazz, lounge and pop sets at a volume that leaves room for conversation – music that brings visitors over to the stand without cutting across the advice being given there.

Technical setup and volume on the stand
Time slots at a fair are tight, so The Jetset Society keeps delivery, setup, teardown and soundcheck short and settles the timings in advance with the organisers and with fair logistics. Sound and lighting come from the band, scaled to the stand area and matched to the power available, the space and the rules set by the fair’s technical staff and the venue crew. Handled by one team and designed to take up little space, that solution leaves fewer handovers and less to coordinate.

Setup, teardown and trade fair logistics at the stand
A trade fair appearance comes with conditions of its own: how the hall runs, how much room the stand allows, what the fair organisation lays down and when trade visitors are actually at the stand. Much of it works just as it does at any other event; the points below cover what a stand adds on top.
Setup and access. Setting up is no different in principle from any other event: as everywhere, the time needed depends on the conditions on site, the routes to the stand and the equipment agreed. Settling that early with whoever runs the stand takes the hurry out of it.
Volume at the stand. The same holds here as at every other event: musical quality before volume. The Jetset Society plays very quietly on request and follows the fair organiser’s rules and shows due consideration for neighbouring stands.
Power supply. The lighting runs on LED technology and the sound system is scaled to the stand area, so as a rule an ordinary socket is enough. Two or three sockets are more convenient, though not a requirement.
Performance times and sets. Every fair has a rhythm of its own. Set lengths and performance times are decided by the organisers, and The Jetset Society works entirely around that schedule and whatever is wanted on site.

Either the venue’s own system is used, or a sound company is brought in – we or the organisers take care of choosing and booking them.
