What does a professional live band cost? For a full-evening event, The Jetset Society usually costs approx. €2,600 to €7,800. The final price depends on the lineup, performance time, venue, technical setup and travel. If you want to hire a live band, you will find clear guide prices for every band size here.
How much should you budget?
For a typical evening event, most bookings fall between approx. €2,600 and €7,800. That covers weddings, balls, galas, corporate events, Christmas parties and private celebrations with live music in the evening.
- Smaller lineups cost less; larger ones bring more sound and stronger stage presence.
- The price covers more than the time you see on stage.
- Setup, soundcheck, teardown, preparation and coordination are all part of the job.
- Shorter shows and special setups are quoted separately.
A standard full-evening booking covers arrival, setup, soundcheck, the live performance, teardown and the journey home.
Lineup size, performance time, venue, technical setup, travel and how many parts of the event need music are the main factors.
Date, venue, event type, guest count and a rough schedule are enough for a first recommendation.
Pricing guidance by lineup size

For jazz, lounge and dinner settings, smaller lineups from 3 musicians are available too; their guide price starts at approx. €2,300. What is included?
Professional live music in the booked lineup.
We discuss song requests, songs to avoid, the first dance, sets and the schedule in advance.
We reserve the date, plan the lineup and coordinate the booking details.
Standard sound and lighting can be included, depending on the event setup.
Load-in, setup, soundcheck, teardown and the extended time on site are all part of the job.
The quote allows for travel, access, parking and equipment transport. We perform mainly in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland – and travel throughout Austria on request.
Sheet music, arrangements, transcriptions, transpositions and special charts can be part of the preparation, depending on the programme and your requests.
Speeches, interludes, changeovers, waiting times and programme items do not automatically reduce the workload – the lineup and the equipment remain committed on site.
The Jetset Society offers a professional end-to-end solution with planning certainty, clear communication and a lineup that fits the occasion.
Why lineup size matters
Each additional musician adds cost. It also adds value: more vocalists, more instruments, more dynamics, more stage presence and a fuller live sound.
Other price factors
A short reception costs less than a full evening with dinner and party.
Weddings, balls, galas and corporate events each need a different plan.
Room size, stage, power, volume and access can all change the workload.
Distance, parking, loading access and late end times can affect the price.
New arrangements, extra rehearsals or guest musicians may cost extra.
Ceremony, reception, dinner and party in different areas may need more setup.
Costs that are often missed
Extra sound, lighting or microphones can add cost.
A ceremony or outdoor area may need a second sound system.
Extra live music or DJ/playlist support can often be agreed if the band is available.
Long travel or late end times may require accommodation or expenses.
Public events may need performance licences. This is usually handled by the organiser.
Cancellation terms are set out in the quote or terms.
Regional guidance for wedding band costs
At Vienna weddings, load-in routes, parking, setup time, volume, room acoustics and curfews often matter alongside lineup and performance time.
In Lower Austria, the venue type – castle, winery or garden – shapes the real workload, along with room changes, outdoor planning, travel and load-in routes.
In Burgenland, power supply, weather protection, second performance areas and logistics often matter most at wineries, lakeside venues and summer weddings.
Booking, cancellation and planning certainty
Once you accept a quote, we record the date, venue, lineup, performance time, technical setup, fee, payment terms and conditions in writing. Both sides know exactly what was agreed.
Your date and lineup are firmly reserved, and preparation and technical setup begin well in advance. Cancellation terms are therefore set out transparently in the booking agreement and the terms; the details depend on when you cancel and on the agreed scope.
How the enquiry works
Date, venue, event type, guest count and the schedule are enough to start.
We check the date and recommend a lineup.
You receive a quote with lineup, time, technical setup and price.
Once you confirm, we plan songs, schedule and setup in detail.
What we need for a quote
The date and location determine availability, travel, setup and technical planning.
Wedding, ball, corporate event, gala, party or hotel event – the occasion and guest count help us gauge the right band size.
It helps to know whether you would like music for the reception, dinner, key moments in the programme, the dance floor or the whole evening.
If you already have an idea, simply tell us the band size, vocalists, horns, guitar or the energy you have in mind.

Is the enquiry non-binding?
Yes. Enquiries are free and involve no obligation. You receive an assessment of a suitable lineup and a quote that fits the event type, venue, performance time, technical setup and desired impact.
Why does lineup size influence the price so strongly?
The number of musicians is the biggest cost factor. With each additional person, the artistic input, coordination, technical setup and logistics increase, but you also gain a fuller sound, more vocalists, stage impact and musical flexibility.
